Finance Committee

Canon Law requires each parish to have a finance council which advises the pastor and Parish Council in matters of finance and the administration of parish goods in adherence with diocesan financial policies. The committee reviews all parish and parish organization financial reports, reviews and approves annual report to the diocese, prepares an annual budget, and reviews and advises the pastor in fiscal matters of the church.

Requirements:

In addition to the pastor, the council must consist of three to seven members of the parish who are skilled in financial affairs and are of high integrity.

Membership is appointed for a term of three years, with membership renewable for one additional term.

Time Commitment:

The Finance Committee meets quarterly with some additional special meetings.
