Discernment Process

Gifted And Called

Baptism is the gateway to our life in the Holy Spirit: being members of the Body of Christ and sharing in Christ’s mission. Each of the baptized is uniquely gifted and called on a mission from God. God does not issue this call from a phone but it can be discovered over time.

The Gifted And Called ministry will help parishioners discover their God-given Spiritual gifts and charisms. In addition, this ministry assists parishioners to appreciate their gifts and the needs of the parish, and to motivate each of us to use these gifts in love and service to others.

We invite you to a Gifted And Called session where you will get a jump start in finding your niche within the Parish.

Contact Bette Davis to inquire about the next available session.

…your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16

The Discovery Process

Discovering these gifts and charisms takes time. The process below has been used by many in their faith journey to better understand God’s unique call.

  • Praying for guidance
  • Reflecting on God’s Call
  • Identifying gifts for Ministry
  • Educating ourselves about the Need
  • Going forth to Serve

Gifted And Called uses a Catholic based assessment tool (gifts inventory) in the identification stage. We ask that you complete the gifts inventory before attending a Gifted and Called session.

“Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is enlightenment” Lao Tzu

Walk with determination along the path of holiness.” Pope Francis
