The faith of little children is beautiful in the eyes of our Lord! We encourage youth and their families to AWAKEN that faith and for all of us to LIVE AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT.
OVERVIEW OF GRADES 6-12
Our Lady of Light seeks to raise up the next generation of saints through irresistible environments, authentic Christian relationships, and providing encounters with Jesus through Word, testimony, and Sacraments.
We want to help young people love God, love others, and ultimately make disciples. (Matthew 22, 28)
We want to help them form life-long H.A.B.I.T.S. of Discipleship.
Hang time with God (personal, daily prayer)
Accountability (small group, community, mentorship)
Bible (praying and studying Scripture)
Invest in Ministry (the parish) and Mission (the community)
Telling (sharing their testimony and inviting others)
Sacramental Life (minimum weekly participation in Mass; plus opportunities for Adoration & Reconciliation regularly)
It is for this reason we are utilizing the Life Teen program for our High School youth and the EDGE program for our Middle School youth. Our comprehensive programs are set on raising up the next generation of saints. Not only do we provide weekly Life Nights & EDGE nights by which we provide catechetical formation through accompaniment, experience, and testimony, but we also provide opportunities for community building and socials; transformational encounters with Jesus through summer camps, retreats, and XLT’s; Service Opportunities & Mission Trips; and Leadership Formation through Life Teen Leadership Conference for High School & Kids for Christ Core Team for Middle School.
