Our parish is offering grief recovery support in 2021. Having struggled to come together in 2020, we are working to have small groups, which will convene in a variety of settings to meet the needs of those who are mourning the death of a loved one and which can aid individuals in moving through the grieving process toward healing. We are using GriefShare, a nationally recognized, ecumenical, faith-based program incorporating videos, prayer, discussion and a workbook to lead participants toward a renewed sense of equilibrium, hope and purpose.
We will be offering the 13-week GriefShare series both in-person and online. The series is open to anyone who is dealing with the death of a loved one. Attendees are always welcome to bring a support person to our sessions.
Reservations are required for all programs and may be made by contacting Jeanne at the parish office at (937) 433-1013 or calling or texting Julie Weaver at (937) 344-9226.
The tentative schedule for upcoming grief recovery support is as follows:
- GriefShare series (online): Sundays, starting February 7, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
- GriefShare series (in-person): Mondays, starting March 1, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the St. John Bosco Room
