Adaptive

ADAPTIVE (SPECIAL NEEDS): It is our goal to try and give all students an opportunity to participate in the weekly classes. If that environment will not work for your child, we are also offering an Adaptive program on Sunday mornings on the Incarnation campus.

Each family that has a child with special needs Grades 1-12 can register for the Adaptive Awaken program. A parent interview will be set up with Trish Dyer, our DRE and Adaptive Education Specialist, to individually review each child’s unique needs to find the best fit in our program.

AWAKEN ADAPTIVE – GRADE 1 -5: For children with intellectual and developmental disabilities & autism, especially for those who have a 504, IEP or WEP. The program “Awaken Adaptive” works to fully integrate students into our grade level classes but also offers an Adaptive Learning Class option. Homeschool learning may also be considered for your child.
An interview with a parent or guardian is may be requested to determine the best learning option for your child.
Adaptive Awaken is administered by Mrs. Trish Dyer, Associate Director for Elementary Discipleship Formation. Trish has an BS in Education and M. Ed. as an Interventions Specialist for Adaptive Education.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ADAPTIVE – GRADE 6-8: For children with intellectual and developmental disabilities & autism, especially for those who have a 504, IEP or WEP. The program “Awaken Adaptive” works to fully integrate students into our grade level classes on their own or with a learning partner. We also offer an Adaptive Learning Class option. Homeschool learning may also be considered for your child.
An interview with a parent or guardian may be helpful to determine the best learning option for your child.
