Planning for 2017 Vacation Bible Camp is underway.  Please check back later for updates.

People of all ages (6th Grade and up) are invited to volunteer at Vacation Bible Camp.  There are plenty of roles to fill: Kitchen Duty, Music, Games, Crafts, Nursery, Photography, Teacher’s Aide, Teaching, First Aid Station, Actor/Actress and much more.  We are also in need of many  DONATIONS to help our camp run smoothly.  Please consider filling one of these roles as we approach camp.  If you are interested take a look below!

Precamp Meeting

Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 7-9pm will be a MANDATORY precamp meeting.  Learn more about your role at camp and what you need to know for the week.  This is extremely important so that we are prepared on that first day of camp.

Dressing the Part

T-shirts for all volunteers will cost $5.00 this year.  If you are interested in purchasing a T-shirt, please be sure to include your T-shirt size on your Registration Form.

If you do not wish to purchase a shirt, we are asking all Adults to wear BLACK and all Youth to wear GREEN each day of camp.

Also, take some time to dress the part.  Go through your closet and see if you can find any caving gear that might make the camp experience more engaging for the kids!

Youth Volunteers

Youth Volunteers are incredibly important to the success of VBC.  It is great for our youngest children to have positive role models to look up to and admire.  Each year we get an amazing response from our young people.  Because of this incredible response, priority will go to St. Francis parishioners and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Youth Volunteers are required to submit both Registration Forms and Archdiocesan Medical Release Forms just like the Campers.

**PLEASE NOTE that on the top of the Archdiocesan Medical Release Form there are two optional dates for helping with setup. If you choose to help with setup, please check one or both of those dates, and have your parents initial anywhere in the top box on the form. This is very important as we want to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for. You can bring all completed forms to the parish office or the drop box outside the office.

Forms can be turned in to the Parish Office during regular business hours or placed into the metal drop box in front of the Parish Office in the Gathering Space.

Adult Volunteers

If you have a preschooler and would like to enroll them in VBC, please be sure to fill out a Camper Registration and Medical Release Form for them. Your preschooler can attend the whole week of camp, even if you are only able to volunteer only for one day.  Childcare will also be provided in the Nursery each day.

Adults are also required to complete the new VIRTUS Child Protection Training and to have a background checks through the Archdiocese before you can volunteer at VBC.  If you are not VIRTUS trained or have not had a Background Check, please contact Marty McClain.

Forms can be turned in to the Parish Office during regular business hours or placed into the metal drop box in front of the Parish Office in the Gathering Space.
