The ministry of ushers is one of welcome and fellowship. Ushers welcome those who come to church, help them find a seat, take up collection, assist in the presentation of the offertory gifts, direct the parishioners movement during communion, distribute bulletins, and are prepared to attend to emergencies that may occur.

Volunteers must be able to commit to ushering at least one weekend Mass per month and be at the church service at least 20 minutes prior to the service. Volunteers should have a warm and friendly personality. All persons 18 and older are eligible. Husband and wife teams are encouraged. We have been know to bend the age rule for those teens who want to usher with their parents.
Time commitment:

As pre-scheduled on Saturday or Sunday Mass one time per month. You also will be asked to volunteer once or twice a year for one of the Holy Day services.
Training: Training consists of reviewing the usher guidelines, observing for a mass and reviewing the procedure with the usher captain.

Helpful attributes: A warm smile and a friendly disposition.
