Jr. High Ministry is committed to Faith Formation and community building grounded in Jesus Christ through Catholic tradition, education, topical exercises, service projects, special events, prayer and opportunities to serve. The Jr. High Core Team are Students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade committed to the responsible leadership of this Ministry. They meet all year to plan and implement “Kids for Christ events”, retreats, summer events, service, and more. A Core Team Leadership Training Retreat is offered in the summer.Core Team assists in many areas of parish service.Membership is open to all junior high students. Kids for Christ (6th, 7th, 8th graders)
These events provide an opportunity for all grades and from all schools to mix and develop friendships that carry over into high school.Each event is unique and is designed and hosted by the Core Team.Parent help is needed in order to hold the events.Archdiocesan Release forms are mandatory. Summer Events: Kids for Christ, “The Big Event”, Summer Drop-ins special activities for service opportunities, and the annual Core Team Leadership Training Retreat
Service Opportunities are available through Faith Formation Sessions, Core Team, and various appeals throughout the year. e.g.
